BBC Documentary on Confucius

I enjoyed watching the documentary because I find it fascinating to hear how prominent people in history get to be so important and learn about how they grew up. I thought it was interesting that Confucius was always into much more mature ways of spending his time–like learning new concepts and ideas while other kids played. It makes sense, since he wanted to make a mark on the world and made sure he put the time and dedication in doing so. I also think it’s interesting how a lot of people aren’t respected or well known until they pass away. I’m not surprised that was the case for Confucius–since that tends to happen to a lot of people–but it was still surprising to me.
