Clearly, this man is very unhappy with his wife and his wife is unhappy with him. The wife does not seem to be meeting the standards of the husband and the husband complains a lot about his wife. He complains about the servant and how he didn’t have another daughter to do the servants work which shows that women are treated as nothing but a servant even by their own father. Neither one of them are happy in the marriage. If this was a marriage in the U.S they would be divorced by now.
