In this clip, Imam Hassan Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America is being interviewed by Dennis Wholey. He is asking him about the Islamic religion and what the basic facts to know about it. He first asks him about the roots of Islam and where their beliefs come from, and then he asks about how many Muslims there are in the Islamic religion. We also learn that the word Muslim translates “to submit” as in submitting themselves to God. When asked how many Muslims their are he says that “there are no accurate statistics about how many Muslims there are in the world but from what I have read there are about 1.2-1.5 billion Muslims in the world” They also continue to talk about how it is the fastest-growing religion in the United States.
