China Review

I really enjoyed learning about China and Chinese culture. I haven’t really had much education on that part of the world before, and so almost everything we talked/read about was new information. My favorite part of the semester was reading the stories because the culture is so different in China compared to America, but also, very much the same. People are more similar than they are unalike, which I always knew, but grew in my appreciation for humankind within this unit. I want to immerse myself more in Chinese culture by watching movies, looking up Chinese news, and making Chinese dishes. I’ve always loved to travel, but before this class, China was never really on my list. I only had Western European centuries on there, but now I have added China to my list and am hoping I will make it over there one day! I would like to experience the food and religion and history first hand, which is something I never truly had any interest in before. So, I am very grateful for this class and will probably start writing more blogs on Chinese food and culture in the next coming weeks.
