During class we talked about how we might notice ourselves as different people in different places. This includes how we act, things we may do, how we might dress, and more. This related to me a lot because I have always felt this way going back and forth between my two parents’ houses. They live an hour and a half away so I have different friends in both places and both lifestyles are completely different. At my mom’s I live in a small town and I usually golf and go to South Bend with my friends to hang out, go to the movies, go bowling, whatever we could find to do. It was never on our mind to go fishing, hunting, or anything much outdoors. At my dad’s you might not even recognize me because I am all out shooting my bow, shooting our guns, going hunting, going fishing, and basically staying in the woods as much as possible. It is just two completely different lifestyles and I have almost been reluctant to ever have my “two lifestyles” ever co-mingle or mix. I just think my friends would think way differently than how I am with them or might judge the differences. Now I have a third world and that is my world here at Butler and again my friends at both places would probably be so confused on who I am if they saw what all I am into down here. It is just something very interesting that I have thought about and was very intrigued to hear about it in class. I would be intrigued to hear more opinions on other people in this topic.
