I don&#8217;t know much about him, Egypt, or Islam, so everything I learned this class was new information for me. I liked learning about how Muslims were seen as in need of enlightenment, even though they didn&#8217;t because they were have already gone through enlightenment. This reminds me that only people within a group know what&#8217;s best for that group. You should not be telling a religion\/country\/culture how to run things if you are not a part of that said group. Only Muslims know if they need enlightenment or not. I also found it interesting how Islam is not separate from the country because everyone just believes the same thing.
