My favorite section was number 24. This section starts with visual descriptions of how people may try to &#8220;show off&#8221; or get ahead in life and me boastful, but these are failed attempts. It is then clearly stated &#8220;He who boasts achieves nothing.He who brags will not endure.&#8221; and then says that these attributes do not provide happiness therefor followers of the Tao should avoid them. I found this very interesting because from the last line, one can infer that Taoism is the pursuit of happiness. I found this poem to be very similar to what people might hear from influential\/motivational speakers in the current day.
