I just have to get it off my chest that Mencius and his mother are both a little odd. The fact that they had to move a couple times and the mother agreed to settle down in a place based upon the aspect playing a game of sacrificing an ancestor is a tad odd. It is interesting as well because his mother is teaching Mencius Confucius values. His mother also teaches him what the role of a mother should be at the time in terms of giving themself up, cooking, cleaning, and making clothes. I feel like it is odd that his mother is saying these things because she seems very intellectual and Mencius wouldn’t be doing much if it wasn’t for his mother so she should in a way value herself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
