The Qur’an is thought to be revelations provided from God through the angel Gabriel and it is about. The Qur’an is very similar to the Bible in that it expresses the importance of man’s responsibility to God, the resurrection of the dead, a spiritual afterlife in paradise or in suffering (Heaven\/Hell) dependent on how you live your earthly\/physical life. Some additional key themes that are similar are repentance and a basic belief in God. Muhammad was thought to be a prophet who passed on the final unaltered revelation of God.<\/p>\n
After reading the assigned surrahs, the stories in the Qur’an relate greatly to the Bible. The individuals such as Noah and Moses are also included in the Qur’an. This overlap as well as many key themes create many overlaps between the two. In the section of Adam and Eve, Adam was formed from the earth to describe a distinct connection to the earth and nature. It seems that in the Bible blame is placed more on Eve than Adam for eating from the tree. In the Qur’an it seems that there is even blame.
