The Indianapolis Art Museum was transformed into a social art experiment Sunday as members of the community shared their own expression of love. The event “Speaking of Love” remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of speaking truth and love to powers that sought to divide humanity based on fear and prejudices. In addition to spoken word, music, and dance performances, visitors of all ages were encouraged to write letters of comfort, encouragement, compliment, or motivation to give to people they don’t know.

Various groups on Butler’s campus are holding events all month long in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, including music, films, vigils, discussions, and more. For more information, visit Events @ Butler.
