I found it very interesting to learn that one of the reasons chanting/singing was used is because as the crowds grew larger, they needed a way to be heard. So they chanted/sang simply because they thought it projected the sound more and made their voices heard. I also find irony in the fact that if they were to just speak loudly and healthily, then it would’ve been just as loud as singing.
