Seeing the modern chanting is very interesting in comparison to what they believe to be most similar to the original chanting patterns done by Christians and Jews. Both versions have a very nice melody however, I might enjoy listening to the more modern New York City chant a little more. Although chanting would not be the first word I think of when listening to their hymns, it gives me a bit more appreciation for the term. Instead of thinking of chanting being used in terms of harm or hate, it is refreshing to consider chanting in this form, which includes a more relaxing sound and peaceful melody.
