In the first class, we learned about how music correlates with The Bible and how humans have used music for all of time to communicate, express emotions, and tell meaningful stories. It was interesting to learn that the very first instrument was actually the voice, then came the lyre, and the flute was not very far behind.
We also talked about how interesting the human vocal chards are, and how we vibrate them at ranging frequencies to make sounds, then actually make a pattern of repeating sounds to tell a story and actually create music, or chants.
I am excited to learn more about how music affects our everyday lives, and how it is so tightly woven into religion.
