“Is the Bible easy to understand? Does the Bible have a single meaning?”
In a short answer, no the Bible is not easy to understand, and there can be more than one meaning to the text of the Bible. Because the Bible is not easy to understand, it takes effort and time to decipher the words and even with that, the readers can interpret the words into different meanings. Since there is no straightforward meaning to every chapter of the Bible, people take the Word in different contexts and meanings which can be a positive or negative factor. I would say this is how God’s Word gets misspoken and misinterpreted, however, at the same time allows the Bible to be spoken to everyone. Metaphors are often used in the Bible and because of that, more people can identify with the words of the Bible or on the other hand, wrongly misinterpret. With no single meaning, there creates difficulty in understanding the Bible, however, it would be wrong to assume complete simplicity in fulfilling God’s Word as nothing good is ever easy.
