In chapter 3 we talked about chanting and how the overall christianity community stemmed from judaism. Chanting can be used a melodic way and it can sound very powerful and beautiful. I’m a christian and in our church, chanting is in the form of speaking in tongues and in praise and worship. Our praise team and very anointed and are able to get the spirit of god flowing. Just like the Georgia (Arabs) chanting video that you shared with us; it was very powerful and touching. It dragged me in and I could tell that the people around the chanters were very focused. The chanting they performed was also beautiful. I learned there’s different ways to chant as well. Just like what we practiced in class, it was definitely different from what I’ve ever done before.
