When I was a sophomore in high school I got a guitar for Christmas. Throughout the years, I have learned how to play solely in order to sing with the music I was creating. The songs I enjoy singing are contemporary worship songs that basically only have 4 chords, G, D, Em, and C with a few exceptions. Because these are the only songs I really like to sing and play, it has really hindered my knowledge and expansion of knowledge of chords. I know probably about 9 chords in total, and have not tried to learn more than that. Because this class allows students to be able to earn points by becoming better at an instrument, I would really like to learn how to play more chords and become better at guitar. I also own two guitars and recently talked to a friend about getting together and teaching her some chords so that we can both get extra points. This is actually very motivating and makes me excited to learn and grow!
