It’s rather odd, isn’t it, that we can create music without instruments in today’s day? Gone are the days of massive orchestras dominating the music performance world, for now we are in the time of DJs and people with a small laptop able to make professional quality music. What’s the benefit to this advancement of musical society? It is not the simple answer of it sounds better or it’s easier, but rather the widespread availibility. No longer are the most creative among us hindered by their own lack of the ability to play an instrument. Everyone can create musical compositions to share with the world. Yes, it’s easy, and yes it’s simple, but this is not the point of these electronic methods of composition. To truly be a society that knows all viewpoints, we must have the means of seeing all viewpoints. Thanks to this new technology, we finally can.
