Musicals/Opera and Stories in the Bible

Today we talked musicals, operas, oratorios and how they differ. We said an opera is basically a musical without speaking parts and a musical involves singing and speaking lines. An oratorio is similar to an opera but without acting or a plot. With both musicals and operas you get the sets and costumes going on.

We also picked a story in the bible that we found interesting and added on to what we thought was going on behind what was being told. I realized through doing this, the words that are told are not enough to turn into a whole story. There are perspectives you don’t get and conversations you didn’t hear. In order to make sense of what you are told, you need to imagine what happened.
