In class today, we discussed how dramatization often can change how we envision a scene from scriptures. In our own heads, the scene may play out much differently than it is in a movie, and seeing a depiction of a scene in a movie could cause us to rethink our interpretation. Movie scenes may also force us to think about the more subtle interactions between people like facial expressions or the tension between two characters. There is also considerable differences between some translations of the Bible, so this could also be a source of discrepancy between scenes. In the same way as watching different movie scenes, it could be helpful to read other translations of the Bible in order to better understand scenes from scripture.
