Arnold Schoenberg used a very free approach to music. Even though his music is not really catchy or memorable, he certainly had a large impact on other musicians as many have decided to explore this path in writing music, as well. He sings almost as a declaration rather than songs we typically hear. Schoenberg’s musical approach is referred to as atonal composition. He pushes music to its very limit to where it sounds somewhat odd and certainly not normal. Not many go to concerts to listen to music such as this; however, the symbolism associated with Schoenberg’s music is important to recognize. Schoenberg has a unique approach to music experimentation and placed a great impact on future musicians.
