in our very first classes, we listened to the song “dry bones” by the delta rhythm boys. when I first listened to the song I never realized that it was biblically related. I never knew until it was brought up in the class for the first time that it was based on a story in the book of Ezekiel chapter 37. where God brought Ezekiel to a valley of bones and asked Ezekiel if the long-dead bones could live. the song of “dry bones” is about how God put the bones of the long-dead people back together and bring life back to the dead.
