music can greatly affect how we see things that they are paired with. they can make thing pull harder on our heartstrings than if it was accompanied by silence. that is my songs in biblical movies like the prince of Egypt even though they never happened in the actual story they were based on can add the emotions that the characters in the stories are feeling or help set the mood for the story that we might not have thought of while reading the verses on their own. for example, the video of “the prince of Egypt” that was shown in class with the Nile river scene was not included in the actual bible story but helped convey how dangerous the Nile river was for a baby in a basket and helped us to understand how much of a miracle it was for the baby to survive the trip to the pharos family.
