all religious music trakes reference to bible verses in one way or another. either through referencing biblical symbols or by paraphrasing bible verses. this brings up the question of why people don’t use bible verses verbatim that often. the answer to that question is that using exact wording on a story that did not originally be written in the English language can lead to confusing lines in your music or the verses might not line up with the music you are trying to put them to. this is why paraphrasing is used. paraphrasing makes it possible to make songs consisting of bible verses. this is done by changing the words used in the verse while still retaining the meaning of the verse in order to make it fit into a song.
