Music Writing

I really have not done a lot with music creation before. I have however played a lot of music on several different instruments. When I do try to experiment with music production I like to use major keys. I really like playing stuff in Bb major on both guitar and french horn. I think playing in a major key allows for more variety even within a song. For example, in G major the four most common chords are G, D, C, Em. But you could throw in F# dim or and Am. I know it doesn’t actually expand the range of chords in a key but it does give a wider variety of sounds. For the Magnificat, I really liked hearing it in A major and Bb major. It almost sounded regal and they were both very upbeat in terms of tone.
