the psalms is packed full of different biblical verses that are used a lot for music and some verses seem to be records of music. these verses are the earliest references to music being in biblical tradition. even though this old music in the texts can’t really be used in music anymore verbatim since we do not know what was the music they were put to. we can still use paraphrases to put them to new modern music or make music based off of these biblical verses.
