Today we talked about the question, “Is the Bible easy to understand?” In my opinion, no the Bible is not easy to understand. It can actually be difficult at times to understand. The Bible has multiple meanings to a text which can get confusing. We need to take time to read and interpret what the Bible is really saying so that we don’t take it out of context. Misinterpretation of the Bible happens quite often, because it is hard to understand.<\/p>\n
We also looked into what paraphrasing means and a couple examples of Psalms. Paraphrasing is summarizing using different words. Looking at the examples in class, I noticed that in Pslam 46 the paraphrasing didn’t mention anything about war.
