After class on Sept 9th, I felt a much better understanding of how to go about attaching a Biblical text to a common melody.\u00a0 Over the weekend while working on this assignment, the basis of how to successfully paraphrase this text became more clear to me. Once I was able to put together my choice of a Biblical text with a song I listen to weekly, the idea of a common meter was fascinating. Without having a very strong music education background, I was worried it would be harder for me to catch on to the assignments we work on in class. However, after this assignment, I feel I will be able to grasp most topics with just a little push and maybe a bit more explanation than the rest of the class.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
