The lesson on Thursday the ninth really hit home a point within me: There are so many other ways to learn than just reading a textbook or listening to a lecture. As we were sitting in the room, listening to the music and singing along, it really spoke out how much these songs are able to be adapted, and isn’t that the point of a class like this? To find a way to let the music teach your soul, and not sit and take in all the information from a document and take a pen and paper test over it. I am amazed by the power of historical education through music, and simply cannot believe how much is being done in such a small class.
