It had always simply been how I understood &#8220;classical&#8221; music. Until actually understanding baroque to mean overly ornate and extremely detailed, I had never noticed this side of the music from this period before. However, now that I know this, it is very easy to notice how much more ornate this music is than any other type of music. I think it&#8217;s very interesting how simply understanding the meaning of a word can alter your perception of music and other things. This makes you wonder how much of a different understanding you could have when you actually study music or sacred texts.
