It\u2019s always been around like a strong, guiding presence in my life. As such, I have been exposed to a vast quantity of songs in the Christian faith, both hymns and contemporary, through my parents. No car ride was complete without the playing of the local Christian radio station and I picked up on a lot of them. When you grow up around the songs, you tend to start to like them, and this is the case for me. I love Christian songs. For me, these have always been the popular music where I know all the words, but this isn\u2019t how everyone views it, and that\u2019s why it felt so strange while I was doing my homework, listening to the Hits station on SiriusXM and \u201cYou Say\u201d by Lauren Daigle began playing.<\/p>\n<p>For those who are unaware, Lauren Daigle is a Christian artist who has become very popular in the religious world for her seemingly pop tunes of the Christian faith, and he song \u201cYou Say&#8221; refers to her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, hence why it struck me as odd that the pop music stations have picked up this song. It seems many enjoy it, but I don\u2019t quite understand where this phenomenon came from. This song is not new by any means, so why now? And why did this song in particular cross the boundary of religious to pop?
