In class on 10\/21 we began with talking more about Christian children’s songs. The class before, we shared our choices on zoom. Almost all of the songs shared had a verse or a story in the bible they connected to. Some examples included my song choice, “This is my Commandment” which correlates to John: 15 12-15, “This Little Light of Mine” correlating to Matthew 5:14, and “Jesus Loves Me” which connects to John 14:21. Something that stood out to me from class was when we learned that “Creeping Death” by Metallica is based on Exodus and specifically the angel of death in The Ten Commandments story. I would have never guessed or pieced it together myself that a heavy metal song by the famous Metallica could have a direct connection to a bible passage. This shows how often and many times unnoticeably Christianity is incorporated into media.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
