It&#8217;s full of poetic romance and was how flirting worked in the bible. This was seen as compliments and romantic. In today&#8217;s society, we wouldn&#8217;t take that as flirting, we would find that really weird. The text isn&#8217;t in our language even though it&#8217;s translated in English. It was said that metaphors and imagery in this example can&#8217;t be translated.\u00a0Widows are often in a vulnerable place, people were showing kindness though.<\/p>\n<p>Naomi had her step daughter go get dressed and look her best to go lay at Boaz&#8217;s feet. Like an arranged marriage was the goal as she was next of kin. I don&#8217;t know my bible that well, but I heard that boaz was the type of man<\/p>\n<p>In Deuteronomy, it&#8217;s mentioned how \u00a0people are in relationships that go back ten generations or so, which means technically they&#8217;re marrying their kinfolk.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The passage from Song of Songs showed a lot of poetic imagery.
