Staff Assembly has six standing committees that are involved in various aspects of staff life. Each committee has a convener and up to seven members. We are always looking for more staff members to get involved. If you are interested in learning more about any of these committees or getting involved, please contact the committee chair directly or
e-mail us.
Why me?
We each offer unique skills, fresh ideas and different points of view from which our committees can benefit. We want your input. Plus, volunteering for a committee gives you an outlet for things you are good at but may not have a chance to do in your work. It’s a great way to meet people from other offices and we have fun interacting and brainstorming!
What do the Staff Assembly committees actually do?
Staff Assembly’s six standing committees work to represent the needs and interests of Butler’s staff and communicate that information to the campus community. The committees do everything from supporting staff’s professional growth and relationship building to planning social activities, workshops, and luncheons, to supporting the assembly’s computer and communication needs.
Activities & Socials
The Activities and Socials Committee provides staff with opportunities to participate in enjoyable activities and events and to share ideas, experiences and knowledge with other Butler staff, faculty, and students.
For more information or to get involved contact Tarence Williams, the current committee chair.
Communications
The Communications Committee is responsible for Staff Assembly communication channels through social media and Butler Today. The ultimate goal of the committee is to disseminate information regarding activities of the Assembly in a fun and engaging way, working to develop and promote new channels of communication. The end result will be a more informed and connected Butler staff.
