Founder’s Celebration allows all members of the Butler community to collectively recognize our university’s history and founding mission, celebrate our accomplishments, and acknowledge where we need to go. Butler staff members can engage in Founder’s Celebration in several ways including, but not limited to:
- Attending the DEI Champion Awards ceremony
- Gathering a team for our campus-wide trivia night
- Creating no-sew blankets for Horizon House with their departments

- Monday, February 3, 3:30 – 4:30 PM: DEI Forum with Dr. Khalilah Marbury and Founder’s Celebration Awards Ceremony
- Tuesday, February 4, 6 – 7 PM: Battle of the Bulldogs: A Trivia Competition
- Wednesday, February 5, 7 PM: Celebrate National Women in Sports Day as the Bulldogs take on the Villanova Wildcats
- Thursday, February 6, 6 – 7:30 PM: Founder’s Celebration Keynote Speaker: Mr. Payton Head presented by the Diversity Programming Council
- Friday, February 7, 1 – 3:30 PM: Founder’s Celebration Service Project
- All week: A Historical Exhibit from Special Collections, Rare Books, and University Archives in Reilly Room
