The Gardner Institute’s Foundations of Excellence Faculty and Staff Survey ends tomorrow (11/2). Those who have not yet completed it will get a reminder today (it appears to come from Brooke Barnett and Lorrie Ortiz). Thank you if you already have completed the survey, but if not, would you please consider doing so? It takes from 15-25 minutes to complete. The results will be valuable as we learn how best to address the first-year student experience. Even if you do not think you have relevant information to add, please know there are questions for both faculty and staff.
Second, this same organization is launching the student survey today, which will be sent to all first-year and new transfer students. It will come with a message from Frank Ross. Incentives have been added, so it may get their attention. If you have regular contact with first-year and transfer students and have an easy way to reach them, would you please email them and let them know about the student survey and that we are very interested to learn how things are going for them so far? It is anonymous, confidential, and voluntary, of course.
