Thank you to everyone who joined us for the September Staff Assembly General Meeting! Here’s a quick recap of the highlights:
Meeting Highlights
- Athletics Update: Grant from Butler Athletics highlighted recent successes, including a win for the men’s golf team and a new attendance record for women’s volleyball. The men’s cross-country team is currently ranked 15th in the country.
- Blood Drive: Kristine Pierce from Versiti, Indiana’s local blood provider, discussed the ongoing partnership with Butler. A kick-off blood drive will be held today, Monday, September 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Donors will receive a $15 Amazon gift card and a free lunch from a food truck.
- DEISA Overview: Dr. Khalilah Marbury introduced the new Division of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Student Affairs (DEISA). The division’s philosophy is “Connecting Students. Cultivating Belonging. Championing Well-Being”.
- Bylaws Vote: A vote to approve major changes to the bylaws passed with a final vote of 52-0. The changes included a new eight-year maximum term for executive committee members.
