The author of the winning essay receives a $1,000 prize.\u00a0The committee, comprised of LAS faculty and BOV members, selected Katelyn Breden as this year&#8217;s winner.\u00a0You can follow the link below to read her essay.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>2015 topic &#8211; Vision for the\u00a0Future<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In describing Butler 2020\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.butler.edu\/butler-2020\/\">(http:\/\/www.butler.edu\/butler-2020\/)<\/a>\u00a0the university makes use of six different verbs to articulate the university&#8217;s vision for its future, a vision deeply informed by and invested in the liberal arts. Select one of the verbs that are part of the vision for Butler 2020 and write an essay describing how your liberal arts education has made that verb part of your own vision for the future.
