Alison (Ali) O’Malley (’04), Assistant Professor of Psychology, returned to Butler University after receiving her PhD in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Akron. Dr. O’Malley’s areas of expertise include performance management, methodology, and statistics. Her publications have appeared in outlets including Journal of Management, Human Performance, and Teaching of Psychology. She studies problems at the intersection of work, well-being, and the natural environment, and recently designed assessment instruments for Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Indy Do Day, and Reconnecting to Our Waterways. She has worked with more than 30 Butler undergraduates in her organizational psychology lab since 2009 and was inducted as an alumni member of Butler’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in Spring 2014.
