The idea of interpreting letters was a weird concept to think about, however we do it almost daily while hearing others on the phone. I had never thought of having to interpret Paul’s letters from the view of the receiver. In addition in class we talked about Paul and part of his role within the Bible. Fun fact Paul is also referred to as Saul but they are the same person thanks professor. Saul originally was a disciplin, and eventually became a disciple. Paul, was important in the spread of Christianity and teaching of Jesus and his stories. In class we talked about Pauls authorship and he is thought to be the writer of 13 books of the New Testament. Pauls letters really impacted the influence of Christianity. throughout Pauls letters there is strong emphasis on treating others the same and not judging them. These are commonly quoted in church. I think when interpreting Paul’s letters, we should take into consideration that he was spreading the gospel of Jesus. Paul has influenced the world for the better and has been known to be one of the most important and influential figures in the Bible.
