{"id":363,"date":"2020-10-07T03:37:22","date_gmt":"2020-10-07T03:37:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/ti251thebible2020fall\/?p=363"},"modified":"2020-10-07T03:37:22","modified_gmt":"2020-10-07T03:37:22","slug":"king-david-and-monarchy-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.butler.edu\/ti251thebible2020fall\/2020\/10\/07\/king-david-and-monarchy-2\/","title":{"rendered":"King David and Monarchy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After today&#8217;s class discussion on David and Goliath, I vividly remember always comparing Goliath to a lion when I was younger.\u00a0 Goliath is always described as undefeatable.\u00a0 He, in essence, could be compared to a mighty beast, and because David had previously killed a lion before, it was easy to compare Goliath to a lion.\u00a0 Goliath intimidated people!
