  • I WANT TO TELL YOU

    by ELYZABETH

I want to tell you about
the forest living inside of me,
the way the trees have your
    name carved along the bark,
and the way there is a beehive sitting
    in my skull.
I want to tell you about
    the way my body buzzes
    when you’re next to me.
I want to tell you that I am sorry.

I cannot be there to put you together
after you kiss storms that rip you apart
I want to be the river you chase,
    but you are packing suitcases
and writing poetry about the floods
that the last girl left behind.
And after all the time you spent
    with your head under water.

You probably think you need a drought, you don’t.
You need someone who kisses you the right way,
a drop of water that comes back to the shore.
Just to wash over your skin.
    You are too busy,
running from the tide to see the waves that want to kiss you like an ambulance.
The way you have been dying
    for a long time,
the waves that want to torment you
that you can finally be saved.

  • WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR

    by CURTIS

When I look in the mirror what do I see?
A stylish fun person everyone wants to be,
or is it a person that everyone hates,
Is it someone who is bad or someone who is great?

When I look in the mirror what do I see?
A person who wants to see the world revolve around him,
just a guy who doesn’t know his purpose.
Is he special or is he totally worthless?
When I look in the mirror what do I see?

  • WHEN YOU HEAR MY NAME

    by DEMONTE

    When you hear my name
    does it make you cry
    does it make you laugh
    does it make you sigh.
I wonder, am I the one for you?
The one who cares for you
the one who’s love is true….
    I wonder.

  • MY LOVE

    by PATRICE

My love, my heart, my everything
you fulfill me inside, you complete me.
My love, my life, my everything
it’s a yes or no, no maybe.
My love is not a free
your either with her or you choose.

  • RABBIT

    by KEITH

Purple atmosphere with a green swirl.
It makes you hurl as the room turns.
    Tick-tock, you broke my clock.
Now your hog gets chopped in my shop.
Random items floating as time it stuck.
The crow barks but the crow yells “what?”
He form waves like jelly and soft like slush.
The wife falls down and turns to dust.
May the ground eat the roadkill so the blood will not dry.
The wheat is sifted while the wind cries “why?”
Yet, a carrot is found in a basement
    Saying…goodbye.
