  • RABBIT

    by KEITH

Purple atmosphere with a green swirl.
It makes you hurl as the room turns.
    Tick-tock, you broke my clock.
Now your hog gets chopped in my shop.
Random items floating as time it stuck.
The crow barks but the crow yells “what?”
He form waves like jelly and soft like slush.
The wife falls down and turns to dust.
May the ground eat the roadkill so the blood will not dry.
The wheat is sifted while the wind cries “why?”
Yet, a carrot is found in a basement
    Saying…goodbye.

  • WATCHED

    by KEITH

With everyone’s eyes on you, what can you do?
Every corner like vultures waiting on you,
    waiting for you to fail,
waiting for you to rebuttal so you may be
    cleansed.

Purified of common sense, the conscious
    mind eradicated,
the lens condenses as melting ice zooming in
    closely.
To the degree of an atom on your behavior,
making you exposed, as a newborn dropped
    into the safari desert.

Being confined by the eyes of the country,
though not confined by the wall of a building.
Protecting our laws that free us with walls,
Speaking of a civil and peaceful world through
having the eye of a tyrant in the form of a
    camera lens.

  • STRENGTH

    by KEITH

    Be anchored as a tree
Firm in your strength during this sorrow-filled winter
Your will may be bending, but be not dismayed nor
    Weakening
Be not consumed by the loss at this time

Can you feel that thing caged in your stomach?
The wild beast wanting to taste the throats of
Those you despise the most in your soul
Tamed? Really? Can you halt the insane ideas
Violating every cellular membrane within your brain?

    I CAN’T BE CHAINED!!!
HOW CAN YOU EXILE AND DAMN YOUR
    BEST FRIEND?
LET ME FREE AND I’LL SHOW YOU
    HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

  • PUZZLED (SHATTERED)

    by KEITH

The impacted hand shattered like glass with
the loud crunching sound of a potato chip
with the wild static pain sent through the
nerves sending a frenzy of spasms evenly through the
    whole arm
his eyes swallowed by tears but are held back like
    the Hoover Dam
His heart pulsating as that of a rabid rabbit feeding on
    a fleeing carrot
With the mind engulfed in rage as a saber tooth
    tiger in a tar pit
Blood tackling the floor with a loud echo like a
jackhammer’s banging voice pierces his ear
The animalistic instinct drives his porcelain-like hand
    into the remorseless apparatus
By the cause of a heartless father who bruises him
    the eye’s dam shatters
For the sixteen-year-old is really a fragile five-year-old
    though his breakdown shows

  • CHAINS

    by KEITH

These chains cease to hold me down,
Though I am chained by the law.
    I glide high above the
    weights of the world.
Freedom is a state of mind,
    So my freedom is endless
    As the earth’s horizon.

My feet have not ever touched
    The filth of society’s violence
    And complex manners of thinking.
    I am superior to you,
    You who are ignorant.
So gain wisdom and fly with the birds.
To see my fellow person fly is a joy,
For their happiness is also mine.

I am past the planet, so the world’s weights
I once had on my limbs are now vacant.
Can too much freedom drive a man into insanity?
    Stratosphere is my dwelling ground,
But that can’t hold me now

    So I suffocate in bliss,
For the death of me is inevitable,
For the sun is near and
    She the air denies me.
The earth will not contain my corpse,
    For reality cannot confine me.
