  • ALCOHOLIC

    by EMILY

    Never to love, never to
    care, no matter what, they
    all share.

In a circle, they all have
    problems, there’s no one else
    no more options.

    They all stay together,
    thick and thin, no matter
    the gender, women or men.

    No acting, no pretend,
their family could never ever bend.

They all tell the truth, including
    the shame, couldn’t stress enough,
    this isn’t a game.

This is where it all boils
down, fire pits and lava falls, would
do anything for a drink of alcohol.

    So much support, so many
friends, so many people willing to
    lend a hand.

    Kind hearts, kind people.
    Don’t worry, they’ll be ex-alcoholics
    in the next sequel.

  • STRENGTH

    by KEITH

    Be anchored as a tree
Firm in your strength during this sorrow-filled winter
Your will may be bending, but be not dismayed nor
    Weakening
Be not consumed by the loss at this time

Can you feel that thing caged in your stomach?
The wild beast wanting to taste the throats of
Those you despise the most in your soul
Tamed? Really? Can you halt the insane ideas
Violating every cellular membrane within your brain?

    I CAN’T BE CHAINED!!!
HOW CAN YOU EXILE AND DAMN YOUR
    BEST FRIEND?
LET ME FREE AND I’LL SHOW YOU
    HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!

  • JOURNEYS

    by JAMMONICA

I want to go to Paris
I want to live and breathe
    living there.
I wish I could speak French.
I wish I had an accent.
Every night and day is my dream’s hope,
    to see that shining light.
I believe that following your dreams
will make you be a believer.
I saw a tall, somewhat short
lady walking past the fancy café wearing
red high heels and a fancy bubblegum
beret. Her clothes were unique and
creative, classy, a fancy polka-dot dress.
In deep, deep within the fashion.
soul and fame. Their accents are different
from most accents. It’s real and true.
The warmth, feeling the fresh air. Seeking
a new journey is awesome, the best way
to be adventurous. The feeling of getting
married in Paris. Going to have a
honeymoon. That would be an amazing and beautiful
sight. Starting down the Eiffel Tower is like
feeling you’re on top of the world.

  • NO ONE TO LOVE

    by MICHELLA

    He was always lonely
    Little, skinny, and bony
    Made fun
    Told himself “One day
    They will all pay
    For how they treated me
Tryna tell me who I should be”
    He tried suicide
    Instead he sat and cried
Careful not to let them win
Did this over and over again
    Wondering what’s his purpose
    Wondering is it worth it
    Parents tried and tried
To keep suicide out of his mind
    Overdosing, parents exploding
    With tears
    Wondering what they did wrong
    Throughout the years
    Now he’s gone
    Everyone cares
    But when he was here
He had no one to love

  • BOTH SIDES OF THE MIRROR

    by KYLA

I lied when I said I loved you.
    I lied when I said I didn’t.
I lied when I said I betrayed you.
    I lied when I said I wasn’t
    thinking about it.
I lied when I said I never slashed
    your tires.
    I lied when I said
    I did.
I lied when I cheated. I lied when
    I left you.
I lied when I went crazy.
    I lied to you.
    I lied to my family,
    and I lied to everyone.

I lied when I left you
    for dead.
