  • I AM TIRED

    by DESTINY

    I’m tired.
Tired of the ups and downs.
I’m tired but finally now I’m found.
The future is calling me, I step into the light.
I fall not yelling feelings like snow falling from the sky.
    I’m not tired.
I finally found a way to get out and be me.
    The future was beautifully fantastic.
So white snow everywhere I was on Earth right, but felt like I was on Pluto.
Deja-vous…flashback in school I was like Pluto
    Quiet not considered anything.
I was the only one here… then I heard someone singing.
    It was me.
    How did I live?
I’m standing here with me and saying “hi.” She says she’s from the past, and that she is me.

  • SOME ADVICE

    by DESTINY

    Let me tell the world,
    that life is all about
    hardship. There are obstacles
    and mazes of life that
we have to go through to
    become better people
    the things we go through
    can only make us stronger
    I mean you know what
    they say “What doesn’t
    kill you, makes you stronger”
    And besides God wouldn’t
    put you through something
    you couldn’t bare anyway.
So just live life to the fullest
    Also remember you have to
    go through the bad
    to get to the good.

  • LETTER TO MY FATHER

    by DESTINY

    Hey dad! How are you?
I miss and love you a lot.
Well I miss what I can
    barely remember
    I see a profile that…
    looks something like mine
    But that’s not much.
    You were here
    now you’re gone.
    Where were you when,
    I needed you?
    You were supposed to teach
    me things that my mother
    couldn’t. Don’t get me wrong,
But there’s just some things my
    mom can’t comprehend
    as a woman. Like the
    way a man is supposed
to treat me. Or how to
    be tough when my backs
    against the wall. When
    I needed you the most
    you weren’t there for me.
I used to yearn for your
    presence, now I just accept
    the fact that you didn’t
want me. That spark of hope
I had for you, will always
hold a tiny place in my
heart. I mean you are my
dad, and I still wish you were
    brave enough to have ME,
I said ME as your daughter,
    your child, your baby girl.
I wish you were brave enough
to stick around, to see ME
I said ME grow into a
    BEAUTIFUL young lady.
    What can I say though?
    It’s your loss not mine
    you’re the one who missed
    out on what could’ve been
the best years of your life.
    You missed out on
    Father Hood.

  • THIS ONE SUMMER

    by DESTINY

    This one summer
    In particular
    was the best
    of them all.

    I hung with
    friends, went
    out to eat
    had Chinese
    we had a ball.

    The time I spent
    with all of my
    friends was so
    great I never wanted
    it to end.

    We did fun
    things every day.
    We danced and laughed
    and went to bed late.
