  • WATER

    by ROMELL

    Water, something needed in Africa
To a family that’s mouth gets dry.
But nobody cares they stay stingy,
Keep people out there like us in clothes that’s dingy.
No shoes, no water, no wants, no needs,
    Keeping dogs with energy.
Stay in dark spaces to stay cool for campers.
Boiled on a stove so hotdogs can be made.
Paid for so fast can run.
Poured through helmets so breath can be caught.
Used to stay alive for almost everybody.

  • NATURE’S SWAGG

    by ROMELL

A tree bent over like its limboing,
Maybe it’s because the animals are having a chewing contest,
Bark on the tree looks like a dollar sign,
It could fake because I found a leaf stem that feels like a plastic vine,
Graffiti on the building doesn’t say much but has a lot of meaning,
The meaning is from someone with a held in bad feeling,
Canada snow shoes on the power line,
Pick my whole poem because it’s like a money line,
Old chewed up gum on the rail,
Reminds of the dark hole that I call my failures.
