Butler’s track and field team hosted the Butler Invitational on Jan 20 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. The Bulldogs had strong performance in a variety of events.
In the women’s 800 meter run, Abby Fostveit (2:16.10) and Morgan Wash (1:53.73) took first and second place.
While in the men’s 800 meters, the Bulldogs swept the podium, with Jesse Hamlin (1:49.25), Liam Dennis (1:53.42), and David Slapak (1:53.73) taking the top three spots.
Both the men’s and women’s 4×400 meter relay teams won the race. The women’s team finished with a time of 3:56.88 and the men’s at 3:18.90.
On the sprinting side, Luke Finnegan (6.89) and Ben Bradley (6.97) would take first and second in the 60 meter sprint.
Gavin Cougle (50.05) took first in the 400 meter dash. While, Martin Kovachech won the men’s mile with a time of 14:13.08.

Butler Invitational is held at the new indoor track and field facility at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. The meet held runners from 11 different school, majority from Indiana.
