Digital Literacy and Information

“Developing digital skills is necessary for children to interact in today’s technology-rich world and to become responsible digital citizens. Digital literacy skills, including e-safety, communication, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking, are all essential for the 21st century workforce” (Learning.com).

When someone demonstrates digital literacy skills, they have a foundational understanding of how to use technology and business applications.

Someone who is digitally literate understands the responsibilities of global online citizenship and how communicate and act appropriately. Finally, a digitally literate person will take the foundational technology and digital citizenship skills and apply them to critically thinking, problem solve, collaborate, and create in the ever growing digital world.
