Kegan’s Retreat Reflection
Goal for this year to make your info commons experience a success: Learn a variety of media programs. Be able to help customers with any problems that they may have. Get more proficient with using the Mac OS.
Goal for this year to make info commons better as a whole: Spread the word about Information commons and CAT to all students. If these services become more visible, more people will use them, and talk positively about them.
Whole life values and experiences: *Came on the last day of the retreat, and missed the orientation. Not entirely sure what to write here.

Hannah’s Retreat Reflection
1. A goal that I have for this year to make my Info Commons experience a success would be to get to know my fellow workers in Info Commons as well as the Librarians. I want to be able to help every student to the best of my abilities that comes to me with a question. I want to focus on seeming genuinely interested and not appear like their question is bothering me or that I would rather just sit behind the desk by myself and not talk to anyone. I also want to learn more about different computer programs so that I will not only be able to help other students but be able to use those skills to assist me with my classes and eventually career.
2. My goal this year to make Info Commons better as a whole would be to have students in my classes or friends come to me outside of the library for help with the library catalog, research question etc, because they know that I work in Info Commons. This allows me to not only help people while working at the library but at any time that someone may need help. Even if I am unable to answer their question or help them I will still have the resources to tell them where they can go to find the answer.
3. I liked it because it made to me obvious the things I value in relation to others. I think it was a good exercise to do because it encourages us to think about having values that pertain to more than just a few categories of our life. It also made me feel confident in my time management skills because I believe that I spend adequate amounts of time and energy in the categories that mean the most to me.
