Influenza Vaccinations Still Available

National Influenza Vaccination Week Dec 1-7, 2019

It’s not to late to vaccinate against the flu this year.  Health Services still has Quadrivalent Flu shots and High Dose flu shots if you are over 65 years of age.  See link below for more information:
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/resource-center/nivw/about.htm?deliveryName=USCDC_7_3%20-%20DM14194

Don’t hesitate to vaccinate! Getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, including those who are more vulnerable to serious flu illness, like babies and young children, older people, and people with certain chronic health conditions.

We know that 70 % of the students that we are seeing with ” Flu Like Symptoms” DID NOT get a flu shot.  The flu shot may not be 100%, but it has been shown to reduce the severity and duration if you are exposed to a variant of the flu that is not a part of this year’s preventative formulation .

Call 317-940-9385 now or schedule online https://myhealth.butler.edu/login_directory.aspx and set up an appointment for your flu shot.  What a great gift to your family to be protected before returning home for the holidays.
