Free Wellness Writing Workshop
In our hectic, sometimes burdened and overly committed lives, creativity isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Medical professionals, clinicians, and artists have recognized the therapeutic value of creative writing. When we write, we can release stress and nurture our imaginations.
Creative Writing for Wellness is part of the mission of the Butler MFA program, which welcomes University staff and faculty to participate in a free five-week Wellness Writing Workshop.
- When: Mondays, June 6–July 11 | 4:15–5:45 PM (Excludes July 4, Independence Day)
- Where: Butler University, Efroymson Center for Creative Writing (530 W. Hampton Drive)
- Facilitators: Hilene Flanzbaum and Angela Hofstetter
In the past two years, Butler MFA students and faculty have run writing classes with staff members at Eskenazi Health; with senior citizens at American HealthCare Services; and with adolescents at Riley Hospital for Children and Hope Academy.
Spaces for the employee Wellness Writing Workshop are limited to 12. Please sign up as soon as possible by contacting Mindy Dunn, mdunn1@butler.edu.
